How to upgrade Autory

Minor upgrades

Example of minor upgrades:

• From version 3.1 to version 3.2.
• From version 3.1.1 to version 3.1.2.

To perform a minor upgrade, simply run the installer of the new version, then patch your model files.

Major upgrades

An example of a major upgrade is going from version 2.x to version 3.x. Each major upgrade comes with its own documentation.

Upgrading from Autory 2 to Autory 3

Simply run the installer of the new version.

Installing Autory 3 does not automatically remove Autory 2 from your system. After installing Autory 3, the autory command in your terminal will point to Autory 3. You can still use Autory 2 if you know where to find it.

Autory models that work with Autory 2 need to be patched to work with Autory 3, and some manual changes may be needed, too. Read the Autory 3 release notes for more details. Autory models that were upgraded to Autory 3 are not guaranteed to continue working with Autory 2, so keep backups of your original Autory 2 model files until the migration is complete.
